Overview

An endline evaluation of a community-based initiative aimed at improving the wellbeing, inclusion, and care of older persons with disabilities. The evaluation assessed changes in caregiver capacity, psychosocial wellbeing of older persons, and the effectiveness of community-based support mechanisms, with a focus on sustainability and inclusion.

01Methodology

  • Qualitative endline evaluation using focus group discussions and key informant interviews
  • Consultations with older persons, caregivers, and community-level stakeholders
  • Assessment of psychosocial wellbeing, caregiving practices, and community support systems
  • Review of service accessibility, assistive device availability, and enabling infrastructure
  • Thematic analysis and triangulation of qualitative findings

02Key Findings

  • Documented improved caregiver knowledge, confidence, and caregiving practices
  • Identified enhanced psychosocial wellbeing and social inclusion among older persons
  • Highlighted gaps in assistive devices, accessibility, and age-friendly infrastructure
  • Generated evidence to inform program refinement, scale-up, and disability-inclusive service planning
